IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CGL 2013 RE-EXAMINATION

GIVEN BY STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION (SSC)

Combined Graduate Level Examination 2013 –  re-examination scheduled to be held on 27.4.2014. 

Hon'ble CAT - Principal Bench, New Delhi had pronounced judgement dated 23.4.2014 scrapping the CGL 2013 examination conducted by SSC. Hon'ble CAT - Principal Bench has also directed that re-examination be conducted by SSC at the earliest as per rules.

Earlier, the SSC had fixed 27.4.2014 as the date for conducting the re-examination of CGL 2013 in respect of 07 cities. There is no restriction in the order of the Hon;ble CAT on the conduct of re-examination scheduled on 27.4.2014 in these 07 cities.

Accordingly, the candidates may note that the re-examination of CGL 2013 on 27.4.2014 will be held as per schedule.

NEW RECRUITMENT RULES OF INCOME TAX INSPECTOR  (ITI) AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (EA)  

According to sources, CBDT may release new recruitment rules for Inspectors and Executive Assistants (E.As) today. Though those rules are awaiting approval of DOPT, those may be notified on adhoc basis to enable the CCITs to effect promotions.

It is also gathered that during the meeting of all Addl.CITs (HQrs) convened on 15.04.2014 at New Delhi, the Board has provided all the Addl. CITs (HQrs) details of letters of requisition sent to SSC for all cadres from vacancy year 1986-87 and onwards (2001-02 in the case of TAs) in tabular form. According to the said details DRs of 2005 are to be assigned seniority with reference to Recruitment Year 2006-07. The Board has directed all  Addl.CITs (HQrs.) to prepare seniority lists accordingly.
